Neal earns re-election

Printed in Southbridge Evening News:

Certain people have lately been talking about “throwing all the bums out” of elected office. While the state of the current economy is cause for serious concern and honest reflection, we must be careful not to throw the baby out with the bath water. Congressman Richard Neal has been a proven stalwart in standing up for his constituents and for what’s right. He led the fight against giving the Social Security trust fund to Wall Street, and he has gone above and beyond in providing assistance to towns and constituents throughout this district – for example, his diligence helped Harrington Hospital expand into Charlton. He and his office were also very helpful to me personally, in helping my wife and me attain a loan modification so that we could stay in our home after we became the victims of predatory lending. We would sorely miss the experience and advocacy of this tried and true representative. I hope the reader will consider this at the polls November 2nd, and will support Richie Neal.
